Of course we stay polite. Burgess is a prime example of how things come around, and there is never a point in shutting down eventual reconciliation or association.

But I didn’t care one bit how Burgess did at Duke or at the U. He only got back on my radar when he began coaching at BYU, and it was sweet. It will be the same for me concerning Davis at USU: no interest. But if somehow he returns to BYU in a couple of years as a player, or as a coach in 15 years, I will welcome him with open arms, and once more pay attention to what he is accomplishing. But only because it’s at BYU.
