For some, he'll resonate, for others, he may come across as less dynamic than Pope.

Rose - who I'm admittedly a big fan of - had a lot of gravitas but it was very different from Pope's and he wasn't as naturally comfortable conversing with people.

You may not have liked Rose, but no one ever accused him of being schmoozy or disingenuous. He was a straight shooter.

My sense is that KY is a straight shooter.
