Demolish Abravanel Hall? As part of a "revitalization" plan tied to hockey?
It's actually being discussed by Smith Entertainment Group and Salt Lake County. And it's a terrible idea. Having visited the recently renovated David Geffen Hall in New York - one of the world's finest concert venues - I can confidently say that Abravanel Hall is a treasure for a small city like Salt Lake. Renovate it. Incorporate - intact! - in plans for the proposed entertainment district. But don't tear it down.
