If the NCAA and power conferences would have been proactive with their compensation of student athletes around the time of the Ed O'Bannon case, this would not be happening.

The only way executives learn hard lessons is through monetary damages, so I say let the repercussions happen. NCAA athletes should have been getting a share of the riches they generated long ago.
