I tried to understand how these drugs were working and when I read about it, it seemed like they were essentially changing the patient's desires. It also seemed like the change the drugs caused replicated a fundamental difference between people who tend to be "naturally" skinny and people who aren't.
I doub there is ever a "silver bullet," but these drugs seem like a very valuable and effective tool in weight management.
Last thought - observing all of this has made me reconsider how I judge people for "self control." Fighthing the urge to eat is a big task, and not everyone is having the same urges.
