the lack of civil rights for minorities in this country. Deplorable. Otherwise, I think I'd prefer, if I had to do it again, to do it through my same time period. I liked growing up a kid without the video games and bazillion channels on a TV. I like having my mother at home. Yes, many LDS families still struggle to do that, but growing smaller and smaller. So many fond memories of growing up in the country void of all the stuff kids are faced with today. There might be more pressure on them than when I was their age. My one grandfather had a farm and there was work, but there was a lot of play for a young boy that was fun. A microwave would be the item I'd miss the most.
