I’m sorry that happened to your son after all his hard work. When my son was a senior, his friend (whose Mom worked at the school) barely beat him for Valedictorian. His mom had him take a class the first semester of their senior year so he could beat out my son for valedictorian. We weren’t aware this was even was an option. And they made sure we didn’t know about it. My son took the class the second semester, which didn’t count towards the end of year GPA. It was very frustrating to have that happen, especially by his friend and his mom. I would hope if I knew that information we would have shared and chosen to have them both win and be co-Valedictorians. I’m sure your son will do great things in the future! Good luck to him!
