Madden’s biggest problem is they don’t have enough time to really change the game. A year-long turnaround is pretty short for a video game, so we get stuck with a few minor changes every year. Delaying an extra year is a big deal, as it essentially doubles their work time.

Second, there’s been a big modding community project called CFB Revamped, where they modded the old NCAA 14 game with updated rosters/uniforms. It was a pure passion project, and they hired a bunch of those guys to work on this new game.
