You would need a Dr referral to go to PT, but as a PT who had osgood schlatters
In my youth, the best thing you can do for now is try and stay off it and ice it up using ibuprofen or another nsaid till the flare goes down, and when the flare is down there are special straps (chopat strap) or taping they can do to reduce stress on the patellar tendon when participating in athletics or exercise. Also quad stretching can help, but not until the flare is over.
