Speaking of Moorish influence, I heard that the outside walls of Al Hambra are dull and boring but the inside was ornate
and beautiful. At least, that's what they told us during our tour many years ago. It was consistent with the idea of showing humility and plainness to the outside world, even if your inward vessel is beautiful and clean.
