Even as non-drinkers, it was a fun experience with the oompa music, the large "joints" of meat, the pretzels, etc.
Plus, if you are a history buff, some of those halls held early rallies for the Nazis back in the 1920s and 1930s. You can still make out the shape of the swastika on the ceiling of the Hoffbrauhaus--they've painted over it with Bavarian flags, but it is there. It is an interesting place with a festive atmosphere today.
