Marienplatz (city hall) has a climb with awesome 360 views of the city and church bells ringing on the hour from all directions. There are many amazing churches and an opera house to visit on foot in that area. Also, visit the Central Park of Munich called the English Garden. They have people surfing on the river in the summer (I was there in spring so didn’t see it).

Dachau concentration camp is in a suburb of Munich and worth the visit. I didn’t have time to visit Nuremberg, but that would be an interesting visit. Enjoy the drive south and the autobahn, so fun. Visit Berchtesgaden and the Eagles Neat when you’re in Salzburg. It’s very close and the drive is pretty.
