Intervention Needed
Bryant was okay at Elon, but he flourished under Rose more than was expected.
He was arguably Elon's best player, but was NOT a dominating star for them by any means.
When we offered him as a transfer it really wasn't something he could refuse.

POLL: Which Elijah? Pick one coming to byu as a recruit

Crawford is higher rated as a recruit, but Bryant was a proven player.

If Crawford becomes anywhere near the player Bryant was I'll be happy.

He had options. Bryant took OVs to Miami, Butler and BYU...

Thanx. That's more than I remember. It's been a while, though.

Is Bryant the only Cougar with a championship ring other than Ainge?

May 21, 6:53pm
Greg Kite has two.

Fred Roberts?

I’d pick Bryant over Jax or Lanier

May 21, 6:57pm
Bryant--even as a Sr--was no Lanier as a total impact player, & he wasn't a true PG anything like Crawford.

What was his impact his senior year?

It's been a while. I did realize my mistake there after I sent it off.

18 ppg at BYU is much more impressive than 19 ppg at North Florida.
kimdaddy35
May 21, 7:43pm
That was a pretty prolific offense he played for — that spent much of the year blowing out way outmatched WCC opponents

Lol. You have such a weird opinion on things. Why are you trying to boost up a

So you honestly think Elijah Bryant's measurables are anywhere near Lanier's?
SinkingQuffa
May 21, 7:57pm
I wholeheartedly disagree. I think if Bryant was on N Florida they would have

Ryder could create in ways Bryant could not. And had Bryant not have been backed by talent like Yoeli & TJ

Imagine what Bryant would do against North Floridas opponents. He was better as

May 21, 7:55pm
He wouldn't have been able to do what Lanier did. He was not that level of athlete. Lanier's team sucked.

May 21, 7:58pm
Lanier averaged 4.7 ppg as a Jr. thats what Lanier did compared to Elijahs Jr

Another apples to oranges I already mentioned: the talent gap between Lanier's N Florida teams & their competition vs

Yep and I'm still surprised Adams wasn't a one and done.

Stooping to things I never said doesn't help your position here, bro.

Hmmm

May 21, 9:26pm
I'm well aware I said many times he was projected as a "leave-early" talent. Cuz he was. He was one of four kids

The team we beat at their place last year?
kimdaddy35
May 21, 9:54pm
This year their only two in the lineup that I recall were Furphy & McCullar (who luckily was out against us)

And NoFLA played in an even weaker conference than that and it took him 3 yrs...

I think you’re forgetting how strong EB was. Much stronger than Lanier
puntersarepeople
May 21, 8:39pm
Strength-wise they're close. Lanier is well put-together. Weight-wise they gotta be close.
SinkingQuffa
May 21, 9:00pm
Lanier isn’t weak by any means but Elijah has about 10 pounds on him from any measurements I can find
puntersarepeople
May 21, 9:06pm
Not even close. While both are 6'4", Lanier is built like TJ Haws...175 lbs
icecougar
May 21, 10:43pm
TJ???? C'mon, Ice. TJ was — & still is — a pencil neck. Lanier is NO pencil neck. He's head-to-toe solid.
SinkingQuffa
May 21, 10:56pm
Haha…Just going off of his bio, says he’s 6’4” and 175 lbs…
icecougar
May 21, 11:04pm
Fair enough. Clearly he's more than 5 lbs heavier than TJ, though. TJ's legs & shoulders were the only things on him
SinkingQuffa
May 21, 11:10pm
ESPN lists him at 199.
puntersarepeople
May 22, 6:09am
For lean athletes of the same height, a 25-30 lb difference is a pretty big difference. That's obvious looking at photos
SinkingQuffa
May 22, 6:12am
Yeah he’s 199 now, not 175
puntersarepeople
May 22, 6:14am
His photos last year show that 199 is legit too. For a 6'3-6'4 guy he's nothing like TJ Haws. He looks like a Safety.
SinkingQuffa
May 22, 6:22am
Bryant was 6'5"

May 21, 6:59pm
So was Spencer Johnson when we saved him from SLCC's roster.

As incoming Frosh, both? This poll shouldn't even be close. Crawford is a BIG TIME signing. No chance
