I wouldn't expect him to pay it off early
But giving it to him was dumb. Yet another cost associated with deciding to locate their HQ in the most expensive city in their footprint. They spent a fortune subsidizing this guy's lifestyle, from house to penthouse suites in Vegas, with nothing to show for it. They helped this guy live like a king in exchange for killing their century-old institution.
