as in any free market business/industry we'll see things mellow out and find...
...some balance/equilibrium, just need to give it time to evolve. That's the beauty of the free market. It's still new and being tested and explored and learned by all sides. We'll see some good changes eventually start to work into it on both sides that will bring some stability and order.

As for the one and dones, there's wisdom in shifting away from recruiting a lot of high school players and focusing more on 1 or 2 yr transfers. Downside of recruiting a lot of high-schoolers:

not all of them are ready to be productive rotation pieces right off the bat so you spend a lot of time, energy and resources to coach them up and get them up to speed only to see them leave and go to another school before you get to see the fruits of your labors. Better to let the g5 schools do that and then cherry pick them as they fit your scheme and are hitting their junior years ready to become impact players.

In BYU's case imo we will get some benefit from the high school LDS athletes who feel some ties to the school due to their church membership and so it would seem to be less of a risk to recruit the best of these kids out of high school than non-LDS kids with no ties. Both Dallin and Richie tested the NIL/transfer portal market but returned and I'm sure this was an influence in their decision making to a degree.
