Those in the revenue generating sports & programs couldn't be grateful for the free education and networking opportunity, as well as considering they were doing something "charitable" by helping other athletes in other sports get to have a free education and do something they love. Nope, they had to whine about delayed gratification and return on their investment. They demanded their "fair share."
In the end, there might not be much to share. Will the money be the same if there are just 40 football teams and 100 basketball teams? Will MAC fans still watch Big Ten football if they lose their programs and they feel it was "corporate greed" that caused it to go away?
