If you only watch him play sparingly and most of what you see is what gets posted to social media, you’re probably going to think he is super overrated. Also if your bball IQ is low and you make judgments just off his offensive ability and his occasional awkward/clunky play, you’ll also think he sucks.

But anyone that pays attention pretty closely and watches him play regularly will understand how teams have to adjust the way they play just by him being on the court, even if that impact doesn’t show up directly in his box score stats. But if someone dives into the advanced analytics, they can pretty clearly see the impact he has on the game by being on the floor, and not just on the defensive end. The casual fan will think he is an offensive liability, but the truth is that his screens and rim running open up a lot for the offense.

That said, I absolutely hate when he tries to create his own shot. It’s a wasted possession and he looks like a doofus anytime he tries.
