Dollar Lake was good in that area and of course upper and lower Red Castle. Surprisingly some of the glacier fed lakes have big fish.

Granddaddy lakes basin has major good fishing all through there. Caught huge fish at Doc’s and Fish Hatchery, on super duper lures and flies off bobbers. Margo is good and of course you have to try the ice cold water out of Pigeon Milk Springs. I don’t know if the pine beetle and forest fires have changed it though.

Atwood right below Kings you catch fish every cast. North Castle and Tungsten were good but above tree line and not much for camping.

White rocks drainage has good fishing, Queant and Cliff’s Lake were great, and I caught a bunch of huge cutthroat above Cliffs in a little lake called x-17 on the map. So sometimes the forest rangers keep their own special spots kinda secret.

Dead Horse pass is an area to go to for a longer trip if you haven’t been there.
