The best clam chowder in the world, and I’m not kidding. Freshly harvested clams every day. It’s superb. The street that Mo’s is on is right on the bay and you can watch sea lions docking and sunning, and fishing boats coming in and unloading their catches. Newport is just stellar. Such a cool vibe there.

Make sure you a buy a kite in one of their many kite shops and then fly it on the beach. It’s almost always perfect kite weather. So fun!

If you still want to see Depoe Bay, it’s not a far drive from Newport. You can easily see them both in the same day. Just save the bulk of your day for Newport.
