Friend of mine has a villa just north of the airport and goes often. Says traffic is getting worse and worse so if you intend to spend any time in the interior (Ubud, waterfalls, rice terraces, temples, etc.) which I would recommend, you might be better staying a few days in Manggis. It is also closer to the Gili Islands and Nusa Penida from the pier at Padang Bai (I think that is the right pier). Definitely do teh 6 days in Bali over KL. Not much there unless you like cities.
