even blue bloods aren’t immune to what BYU is doing. except BYU is doing it without any of their advantages and a ton of disadvantages. college football is extremely cyclical. the only schools in the country that have seemed immune to it are OU and Ohio State, and even OU had a down year recently and was mediocre in the 90s.

BYU struggled for a few years. then was really good for a few years, then struggled last year. and again, last years team was about the same as 2022 just with an incredibly tough schedule. it would’ve ranked 2nd or 3rd in the SEC on sagarin, if that gives you some perspective.
