the Chattahoochee. I loved them, but my wife didn't really care for them. They kind of taste like warm, salty beans. We're two lifelong (until marriage) Californians, so you're 50% on your theory about Westerners. We absolutely loved the south. Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC are two of the best places we've ever been.

On a completely unrelated note...if anybody reading this is ever in Savannah, GA, do yourself a favor and eat at Paula Dean's "Lady & Sons" restaurant. That Paula Dean can cook her buns off.
