RE: 5 Reasons WSU wins on Thursday
Here's the REAL 5 reasons that would allow a WAZZU victory:

1. Van Noy gets lost on the way to the stadium. Once he realizes he is lost and may be late he turns around and rushes to the stadium, but in his hurry runs a red light and hits a cop car like it was an ISU punter. Provo police can't believe such a thing can happen at BYU and Van Noy is sent packing to the prison at Point of the Mountain.

2. In a nasty bit of deja vu, Alisa steps on the newspaper as he walks out the door, breaking his leg. Williams tries to catch Alisa as he falls, but loses his balance stepping on same said newspaper and goes down with a nasty ankle sprain.

3. Riley gets to stadium on time, but HC police deny him entry as his hair is too long and his ab-showing shirt does not meet HC standards. By the time he gets home, changes his shirt and gets his hair cut we are already midway through the 3rd quarter. This wouldn't be a problem if not for reason #4.

4. Both Hoffman and Apo run into the same HC police and are sent home to shave their scrub. Apo is safely finishes shaving, however Hoff, trying to quickly shave with his new barber's knife, gashes his neck and requires a trip to the hospital. Apo quickly calls Lark to help administer to Hoff, and by the time they all get back to the stadium after Hoff's "miraculous" recovery it is nearly the 4th quarter, leaving a freshman to play the whole game. Given Hill's remarkable athletic gifts, this was still a winable game, if not for #5.

5. After hearing so many of his star players are kept out of the stadium due to HC "violations", Bronco, Tom, and most the coaching staff enter into a heated argument with school officials to let the players play. The discussions get too heated, Tom accuses Samuleson of being a covert Ute spy trying to subvert the program and Bronco and staff readily agree. They are dismissed from their posts on the spot and BJ is immediately hired away from the Utes to run the team. Ask for reasons for this surprise hire, BJ's extensive coaching experience is given as the reason.

Given BYU's extensive experience by the senior class, these issues STILL could have been managed and the game one, only problem was all other seniors never made it to the stadium. Investigations later showed that they were locked in a shed by the practice field and missed the entire game. Leach denies any association with this action...
