...when it resumes. I think it's been a blessing in disguise and has helped cool things down a bit.
The BYU vs Utah bball game the other night was a great game and is what I hope to see from the rivalry going forward. The MAC was loud and raucous, I couldn't even imagine what it was like playing in that noise. Both teams played hard and it went down to the wire yet it looked like there was pretty good sportsmanship throughout the game (I didn't think the thing between Wright and Winder was that big of a deal).
We'll see if football follows suit...good thing we didn't play Utah in football this year. I don't think I could stomach a 5th straight loss to Utah or 7th in 10 yrs, etc etc. There is one point you made that goes either way imo:
"Being in a conference guarantees you familiar faces to detest or look forward to."
To be perfectly honest, I couldn't take going back to the MWC because it would mean having to play Wyoming, New Mexico, etc every year. Being in a conference with the Donkey Yewts and the Dairy Yewts would be good but it's not worth the price to pay of having Wyoming every year. I'd prefer to see us go East and join the AAC before I'd want the MWC and Hair Thompson again.
