Playing mtsu and sav state in November sucks. But it doesn't change the fact that if BYU had taken care of business they would have been ranked well ahead of Utah. The "overall" resume is fine.

A NC goal or NY6 goal is not realistically attainable for NYU or Utah. Difference is, BYU can negotiate it's way into an improved independence position. Utah is stuck in a tough conference relegated to collecting eelfate checks but no realistic hope of winning anything significant at season's end.
