program over thinking the could be the difference in lifting the program they've followed as a youth ?"
by your logic, they would only go to byu in the event that they didn't have the ability to play at utah, in the p12. it's cute that you want to tear utah down, and while i dislike them as much as anyone, they keep on beating our butts in football, are clearly the superior program at this point, and they play in the p12. we may have a nice schedule every now and again, but they have a p12 schedule every year.
so why would someone that has confidence in themselves not want to go to utah? it's the guy who doesn't go to utah and goes to byu who you could argue would not have the delusional confidence. by your own admission, byu is down. if you think that you can make a difference at utah, why in the world would you think that you couldn't make one at a inferior program? how is that logical?
oh, and it's not like byu's been playing a killer schedule lately. i'm not sure how that, or utah's ability to win or not win a conf title in the p12 is relevant to your point, either.
