You know, everyone (especially with a Utah influence) keeps saying that they would love to be playing top-flight teams even if they lose, but I kind of think that is a load of something . . .

Just look how people take it when their team does get in that special conference and loses regularly, or gets that big time schedule and loses. Utah would of fired Whitt last year if three games had gone the way they did the two years before. People do not like to lose, even if they do get to go see UCLA and USC and Stanford play their team . . .

The next step after your team gets into that big conference, after a couple of years of losing and the novelty wears off, is to fire your coach and try something new, cause the fans are unhappy.
