Just to clarify, the $5 million number is not BYU's operating profit

The $5 million number he's referencing is for BYU Athletics Department, not the university as a whole. And even still, it's not a completely accurate representation of the whole department, since it doesnt net out the losses from all the non-profitable sports (i.e. all non-football sports).
