The facts about the Redskins name and Logo

The name was chosen to honor their head coach (Lone Star Deitz) and others who identified themselves as a native american. The logo was designed by a native american. Some might want to actually look into the history of the redskins and the name in general. Several Indian leaders apparently used the term "redskin" refer to themselves, like Sitting Bull and others. If the term was offensive to them, why would they do that?
