about things people didn't actually say? Nothing you said had anything to do with 5000 ute "fans" at games in the recent past. Maybe I need to go back on more year then. A year or two before urban showed up there were 5000 "fans" at a game with Oregon in town. Funny how you chose to ignore that - you did you become a "fan" in 2004?
But seriously, you are hanging your hat on supposed sellouts (not true by the way) and season ticket sales in that band box you call a stadium? BYU counts its tickets at the gate. Utah counts actual tickets "sold". There were more than a few empty seats at most games in the rice bowl last year. You don't need to expand your "stadium" when you don't actually sell it out most games in the season.
As for the 50,000? That was an estimate by the university of Utah marketing department. That seems like a good source for information. Like at all BCS games, about 1/2 the crowd had no allegiance to either team. That's just the way it is at those games. Not saying that the ute "fan"base hasn't increased over the recent run of "success", but it is funny the numbers that ute "fans" keep throwing around.
I guess now you have a season ticked renewal national championship to go along with your strength of schedule national championship.
