I'm sorry, but if this is really the mindset of ALUFs... that's disgusting
You think a sign that says "if you're living right on and off the field, magic happens" is as offensive as a sign calling out an individual player?

Granted, I get it. It feels like they are saying Ute players aren't living as righteously as BYU players. Obviously not what they meant, but that's how you choose to take it (because in your mind, BYU fans are judgmental jerks and that's how they're going to behave... get rid of that false paradigm bro).

I have friends that are Ute fans that are DEFINITELY living right and are great people. But you have absolutely NO idea how bad the behavior can get towards BYU fans going to a game.

Little story.

I went to the BYU game at Utah last year (basketball). Let me list a few of the incidences:

1. A girl I was with got told she would be "raped" if she kept "wearing that BYU gear." The guy's friend got a bit more graphic, something I won't post here, but they started laughing and hi-fiving on the way out.

2. Two twenty-year-old girls got pushed to the ground and kicked towards the door by a forty-something-year-old man. He yelled: "Get the *yewt* out of our staduim." One of the girl's older brothers, who is an Afgan vet, got in the guy's face, got him to leave, and picked the girls up and walked out.

3. I had a full cup of root beer dumped on me. Yes that really happened (so did everything else I'm saying).

4. Almost not worth mentioning is the constant stream of Ute fans walking in front of our student section yelling "*yewt* you, BYU" and flipping us off. Wasn't just one or two... it was constant the entire game.

5. I got confronted several times leaving the arena. I just laughed it off. But the hate was directed at the "honor code" and "church the next day."

6. My friend (you call him BYU Pat) got cyber bullied by Ute fans to the tune of over 2,000 tweets about him, a new twitter account made about him, and the like. They even got onto his Facebook and pulled pictures to tweet out.

I know most of your fan base is good. I have a lot of friends that go there that are awesome. I know you're probably in a bishopric.

But to say those signs are equally as offensive? That shows just how tainted your judgement is. To say that BYU fans are NOT greatly mistreated at events on the hill is ignorant.
