I'm the same way. Cars just aren't my thing.
But I know lots of people who get a lot of utility and enjoyment out of the car they drive. And more power to them.
I don't think I'm right or wrong. I just recognize that we are all different, so I'd have no basis for saying someone else is doing it wrong (provided they aren't prioritizing their sports car over putting food on the table, or other such extremes).
