Here's the source data for BYU athletics revenues/expenses
Thanks buddy. Here's the link to the source data...it's fairly interesting actually: http://ope.ed.gov/athletics/InstDetails.aspx?756e697469643d32333030333826796561723d323031342673656172636843726974657269613d33313364343237323639363736383631366432303539366637353665363732363332336435303732366637363666323637323634373433643331333232663331333632663332333033313335323033313332336133323339336133313337323035303464267264743d31322f31362f323031352031323a32393a313720504d

It looks like football is the only team that actually breaks even. I thought I had remembered reading that BYU Men's Basketball also breaks even...I guess not.

Also, I'm not sure if it's fair to assume BYU athletics nets $5 million. If you notice, all non-football sports have total expenses that equal their total revenues. That means they are getting money from somewhere to help pay for the gap between their real expenses and revenues. I'm not sure where that money is coming from, but that should also be factored into their profitability. Unfortunately we don't have visibility to those numbers. So at the end of the day, we still can't be sure what BYU athletics as a whole profits (although we can see that football profits $5 million).
