Manic's stats are not valid as is. I pointed that out.. Is BM a better DC than teh DC's USU faced? teh DC's WST faced and so on as a whole? THAT is all his stas demonstrate adn tehy only demonstrate yardage, which may or may not be a DC philosophy to begin with since POINTS is what wins or loses you games not yardage... I'm not sure you understand that. Do you? Okay good... SO BYU's defensewas on average better than the defenses IDAHO faced? Reallyt? Are yoou surprised? Do you think that Idaho faced a bevy of top caliber D's? and so on and so forth. I named the teams which BYU showed an above average performance.

BTW.. You seemed to IGNORED teh ABOVE average part of my descrition of BM as DC. Since I said that he is average to above average.. What is it that you are disagreeing with me again?
We faced TWO ok, three teams with offenses over 50 who had PASSING offenses ranked above 35 , THREE
We LOST to OST
WE LOST to SJST
WE BARELY beat USU by 3 points? Does that sound like something that a GREAT DC would do ?

1/3 with one being an in state should neve be close to us, "rival"?


Manic's stats only show BYU's vs it's opponents... Who NAME me THREE stellar D's that four of our opponents played last year...

If you can pick four opponents who played four top 25 defenses and BYU thus outperformed them, then I will concede. However Having a better D than the MWC group or WAC,or Pac12 south didn't say much last year. ND may have done it because of their schedule... Look at our numbers vs ND? Not a big gap huh?

BTW if youn find those top 25 D's or lets say 58 since that would be average. list teh points they gave up to BYU's opponent and BYU's.... Don't average in teh points and yards IDAHO gave up or UNM or wyo...
