That's just not true.
The move was years in the making. There was a ton of market research and analysis done by the pros, combined with decades (yes, plural) of awful sales numbers for the old royal blue.
The move was a total no brainer from a merchandising standpoint, and it remains one today. The ability to use royal blue as a special secondary thing is cool, but it will never be brought back permanently.
