Anae was the last coach that made Heaps look good, i.e., against UTEP. Sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. Christian Stewart could be the next Blaine Fowler (arguably the best backup QB we have ever had, he just was behind Young and Bosco). We just don't know. If Heaps wants back, I say take him. He has been extremely gracious and pro-BYU even when he was treated horribly by all idiots who created a civil war on the team with allegiances to Nelson or Heaps. Frankly, it just comes down to we know what exactly we are getting with Heaps. He will not the be starter, barring injury. But if Hill gets hurt, we know exactly what he can and cannot do. I am fine with Stewart, I am fine with Heaps. I am not so fine with Green.
