one of the few consolations you can look at is playing in a tough, deep, conference (i.e. would have a better record in most other conf's). But that is beside the point. I just thought comparing the two best teams in the conference when trying to determine which conference was/is beter is like determining which NBA player is better going solely off points per game. Shallow evaluation at best. Other things matter. A lot of other things. No, in the long run which conference was deeper doesnt matter, and titles are what its all about. But I dont see how that relates whatsoever to which conference overall was better...Thats like saying the eastern conference was better than the west in 2012 because the Heat won the title.
