The OP was about him focusing on the offensive side of the ball this year.
In his 9 years, he has had very little to do with the offensive game plan...much the way Lavell empowered his coordinators. As StantonMac noted, very few...if any boarders...could truly identify whether in game adjustments have been made. We all think we're geniuses...but frankly, we're just dudes on a message board. If we were geniuses, we'd be making adjustments from a press box.

It is highly unlikely that Bronco will dictate any overarching offensive adjustments in game. It would be foolish to do so, it's not his area of expertise. If he sees something in the opposing defense that he thinks can be exploited, I have no doubt he will and already has pointed that out. But he's not going to become the offensive coordinator and he shouldn't.

This isn't Madden or NCAA 2014. You run what you can execute. You run what you have mastered. Last year, we were in a new offense and we had mastered X percent. This year it's not a brand new offense and I expect the offense will have mastered Y percent. There will be more options and more capacity to "adjust."

Neither Bronco nor Anae are "stubborn" men who "refuse to change." The facts demonstrate that pretty clearly. Anae is essentially on his 3rd scheme at BYU alone. He's used tight ends when we have good ones. He's produced career leaders at receiver, running back, and QB. (Hall has the most wins in BYU history). You go to war with the Army you have, not the Army you wish you had. Coaches coach with the teams they have, fans coach with the teams they wish they had. It's not as easy as we armchair coaches think.
