Lavell Had an Outstanding Eye For Talent
And he had a complimentary ability to enable his coaches to develop. Eventually, he ended up with a very tenured, aging staff. But his ability to bring in the right people and let them do their jobs is something I think Cougar Nation took for granted. This Cougar did.

We'll see if more hands on attention from Bronco can yield better results. Mendenhall has proven he can coach defense. He's also proven he can make hiring decisions that don't pan out. I'm interested to see if Bronco's watchful eye over an Anae-led offense can make a notable improvement, particularly when they're working with the largely the same bunch of OL who haven't proven much. Our hopes rely on the hogs being healthier, more experienced, and our HC being more involved. I'm not sure which, if any, causes me to believe things will appreciably different.

Having a great stable of running backs and a number of exciting recruits at WR plus a returning, healthy Taysom Hill--those things get me much more excited and optimistic.
