Yes several General authorities attended Utah. However most of those attended in the 1950-60 or earlier in the case of Gordon Hinckley the 1930's. In those days the schools Were not too different. Both schools were probably 95% LDS. Since then Utah has embraced secular activities such as gay day, lgbt studies etc etc., since the 1980 most of the GA children have attended byu. Byu hasn't changed much in the past 60 years as far as standards. Utah would be up unrecognizable to most GA that attended years ago.
