could be worse. that's my portion for a family of 3 - just 1 kid. My employer has cheaper hmo plans, but my wife likes having a ppo.
it's a ways down on my list though. student loans, tithing, mortgage, daycare, car payments, retirement deductions, family vacations all cost more than that.
I wouldn't mind if health insurance was my #2 most expensive to worry about
