The committee's "rankings" will start being being released in October.
We won't have to wait until the end of the season to see how things are going.
What you are speaking of is the top 12 in terms of the AP or Coaches poll.
The committee will produce their own rankings based on the criteria they have been instructed to use:
1, Conference championships won (We lose here)
2. Strength of schedule (We lose here)
3. Head-to-head competition (We lose here for the most part because the majority of our opponents are not P5)
4. Comparative outcomes of common opponents. (We lose here for the most part because the majority of our opponents are not P5)
5. Other factors such as injuries
