That's my point, once players start playing recruiting class rankings are useles
Once players have actually played at the D1 level, relying on what some Internet web site said about them as a high school player to determine their talent is ludicrous. They need to gauge talent based on their performance in college, once they start playing. The author of that review seemed to know very little about the talent that has been demonstrated by players at BYU, except that KVN left.

Do you really think that Virginia has better talent than BYU and that BYU's talent is equivalent to UConn? BYU does not get the top talent in the country, but the writer obviously knows little about BYU and is biased. So his statistical analysis is flawed.

Let me put it this way. BYU went 8-4 in the regular season last year with a new OC installing a new offense breaking in a new QB and a bad O-line against one of the toughest schedules in school history. This year every single one of those factors is expected to be significantly better against an easier schedule and more home than away games. Yet his attempted analytical approach to determine player talent and coach quality predicts the same 8-4 results, including a close game iwth UConn and loss in Provo to Virginia.

Those things are certainly possible. The wheels can come off of any season in college footlball for a variety of reasons. But to predict those things now and make the comments he did, shows his approach biased and flawed.
