I'll tell you - absolutely no one...if you are #3 you are in the playoffs.

Furthermore once the 4 playoff teams, contract bowls and auto bid (to the highest ranked Go5 champ) the committee HAS to take the remaining highest ranked teams for the remaining open slots. And this year with the Rose/Sugar as the semi-final games there will be 3-5 open slots depending on conferences represented in the playoffs.

This means that a #5 ranked team (i.e. BYU 1996) can not be passed over for another team at 6, 7, 8, 9, etc that they feel may sell more beer or rent more hotel rooms. The HAVE to take the #5 team before they can take any lower ranked teams....
