They don't rank most guys in the northeast
So looking at star is a dumb way of evaluating talent out of the northeast.
They only rate the guys with offers from places like FL or
Tyvon Branch, starting safety of the Raiders, was the fastest HS senior in the state of NY and didn't get rated by the services
Kendall Reyes, starting tackle of the Chargers, was the 3rd fastest HS senior in New England and didn't get rated.
In fact, most of the players we have in the NFL didn't get rated by the services.
Coach Diaco says our safety Obi Melifonwu is the most talented safety he has ever been around, including NFL players and NFL pro bowl player. He was rated the 108th best safety coming out of HS. At least he got a rating.
Captain Byron Jones will certainly be a NFL starting CB and wasn't rated by the services.
Even Arkeel Newsome is rated as the 58th best RB prospect. He ran for over 3000 yards and got 55 TD's just as a senior. He has sprinter speed and ran for the 7th most yards in US HS football history.
