You have a hard time distinguishing the difference between input and output. UVa gets way more talent than you do; they just do so much less with it.
Until last year, maybe even including last year, you've been playing with players that you got from when you were good. From a talent perspective, unless Diaco is a miracle worker, you're going to struggle for a year or two more at least, just based on the talent you've been getting. Yes, you get a guy or two, but if you were getting better talent than Virginia, it would show both in the recruiting rankings and on the field. If Virginia played your schedule with your coaches last year, they would have made a bowl game.
