Michigan was ranked #2 or #3 that year at the start of the season and managed to get back into the top 25 by the end of the season. Regardless of how well App State did that year they should never have beaten Michigan at the big house. The year we beat Northern Iowa they lost 1 other game all season and made to the DII championship game. They were a good team (for DII). We beat them 41-17 and complained that they had scored 17.

A DII or 1AA school should never be expected to beat a 1A school - and definitely never a good 1A school.

I'm not talking about the rare times is does happen, I am talking about worrying that it will happen.

To expect to lose to UConn is ridiculous.
