I don't mind helping friends, and I disliked helping those who rarely showed except to solicit help, but I remember when I needed help the only ones showing up were my friends who were non-members.

I remember one move, where we showed up for a lesser active family, and not one box had been packed, not one furniture items wrapped, no arrangements for a moving van, nothing. 14 hours later, the family wanted us to buy them a meal.
