I know college kickers are inconsistent in general
I would never want to leave a game in a kicker's hands, but I have never even felt confident that BYU could win a game on any potential game winning kick (and they have obliged by consistently missing). Its funny though, if I would've said I don't feel comfortable with our kickers from 39 yards there would be no argument. But because I said "40" all of the sudden that is a long FG. A 40 yard FG should not be a problem for a BYU kicker kicking at altitude for half the season. If we get inside the 25, there should not be an issue making FGs for the most part. And Bronco said for himself that until the last two weeks of camp they hadn't done extensive live FG reps. Shouldn't this be a priority from Day 1 when you don't have a proven kicker on the roster?
