African americans have sickle cell trait. Statistically, you are talking about handfuls of players on most teams at all levels in all sports who never have a problem. There is a difference between theoretical possibility and actual occurrence. So I'm not sure why you are replying to me based on my original statement other than an attempt show what you learned in 1st year of medical school.
